Dear Rob,
I have a pork shoulder all ready to cook, the beginnings of a killer cheesecake and my hands smell Like bbq rub and I’m speechless. Not because I’m making a birthday dinner tonight like a grown up but because of what I just read. I’m sitting here catching up on news in your world and then I came upon this piece of news from Carter burwell who will/is scoring Breaking Dawn
(before I drop this news I want all the ladies reading to close their office door, grab an emergency edward pillow to scream into and have some smelling salts handy because trust me, you’ll need them)
According to Carter’s official site…
“Carter just wrote Renesmee’s Lullaby” for Twilight Breaking Dawn 2, which Rob Pattinson will play on camera. The film will be released in November 2012
Also according to his Official Twitter Rob will be playing it on camera THIS WEEK.

Now I’m not too proud to say I may have done a little happy dance (lots of awkward hip thrusts and Brenden Fraser claps) around my kitchen when I read the news but Rob you understand. You know the draw a rockstar has. They can be the biggest sad sack on the planet but give them a guitar and a stage and ladies be trippin’ all over themselves. Then add in the fact you’re a movie star. Throw on top of that you’re the dude who plays Edward freakin Cullen and you’ve got the deadliest combination known to ladykind. We’re powerless to that kind of awesomeness. I won’t even add in the fact that you’ll be singing a lullaby to Renesmee making it Daddyward on the keys cause then we can all kiss what braincells we had left good bye. We’ll just pretend that part doesn’t happen till it happens so we can maintain some sanity.
Now I won’t ruin the moment by saying Carter Burwells Twilight score was my least favorite of the movies scores and Bellas lullaby did about nothing for me but it did give us our first glimpse of you playing the piano which oddly enough is the exact scene playing on the TV RIGHT NOW whilst I write this. Yea so if Twi or NM is on Showtime I may leave it on in the background. So sue me, I’m a fan. And I’m pretty sure we all have you singing “Never Think” and “Let Me Sign” burned into our memories.
The only thing wrong with this bit of news?? We get to torture ourselves thinking about it for another year and a half since Breaking Dawn part 2 won’t be out till November 2012. Ugh

His voice is hauntingly beautiful. I can’t say enough wonderful things about him and his music. If I’m on the computer, his songs are playing in my headphones. ALWAYS.

However, the Daddyward part creeps me out just a little. I’m just throwing it out there in the interest of keeping it real. Some guys just get hotter when you find out they have a whole brood of kids. In this case, Edward did not get hotter. (There is something that feel so wrong about saying that!) Couldn’t they have stuck with the book where he plays for Bella when she gets home. That would work much better for me.
I dunno, I’ve been to a lot of parent meetings at my kid’s kindergarten, and no Dad who attends comes close to being as hot as Edward. Or Charlie, for that matter. I would love to see Edward at one of those parent meetings…with a cheap not-too-sticky paper name tag half attached to his Tweedserious jacket, sitting in one of the tiny plastic school chairs, texting Bella whilst pretending to listen to the teacher blather on about “Everyday Math (TM)”. I’d be THAT mom, the one who lusts for other Dads, the one who fights off other moms for the chance to sit next to him and breathe in the same air molecules he just exhaled. I’d have to pretend I didn’t care that Renesmee bit my child numerous times and that my child stopped eating food and now only wants to drink his little brother. I’d have to pretend that I didn’t think his little brat should be expelled and that I could sue the school district for allowing her to be around other humans. I’d have to pretend that I met his wife one day and found her to be charming and relaxed. Yes, I could handle Edward as Dad, as long as he keeps showing up and every once in a while walks me to my car after the meeting.
Just started imagining that Parent/Teacher conference.
“Now Mr. Cullen, I called you in to talk about Renesmee. She seems to have a little issue using her teeth instead of her words.” might find some more reasons to call in Mr. Cullen if I could remain coherent during the convos!
Yes, I can imagine calling in Mr. Cullen to discuss naughty behavior quite often.

Now, you and I both know that he has gone to that minibar in the sky. But we here at Forks pride ourselves in our authentic Buttcrack Santa imitations. It really is upsetting the other children, so if you could please talk to her we would really appreciate it. Oh, and thank you so much for your wonderful donation. The preschool was so thrilled to have their very own grand piano! Now if only we had someone to provide lessons for the children.

LOL, RFM – I can totally see Daddyward donating a grand piano – he’d be prone to just that kind of extravagance (and nevermind the school lost music program funding 3 years ago!). However, I’d pay for personal lessons (for ME), if Daddyward was doing an after-school enrichment program.

I know I am late in the game of this subject but this is fantastic. I am a teacher to and this would be great for me cause then I could maybe see Uncle Jasper picking her up once in a great while. And when we are on history and the wild west Uncle Jasper could come in with Daddy and they could do a scene for us all dressed up. Too cool RFM! I know if we had parent conferences I would have a hard time paying attention to what he is saying because I would just be staring at his lips. Yummy his lips!

As fascinating as the image of Rob playing the piano and singing a sweet song to his babyvamp may be, I do not feel anything excited to watch a tragicomic movie made of ultra trash scenes, such as Bella giving birth or half-naked Jacob imprinting on a baby.
To tell the truth I’ve been dreaming of him singing a duet with Reese in WFE. It would be so beautiful!

Can not wait – my fave part of the Twilight DVD is the extra bit with the full Rob/piano experience !!!! And yeah there’s some weird stuff in BD but I have every confidence they will gloss over that and concentrate on the awesome stuff e.g Edward -they know that’s what we are all going for (apart from those few weirdos who go to see Jacob *shudders*)

I agree with you ladies, this might be the only thing in BD that’s worth watching. (Is Renameme going to be in the background while he plays for her in a dark room? You know what it would be cool? If Summit developed special Rob-D glasses (like 3-D but Rob-dimensional). Basically when you wear the glasses, all other characters are invisible or replaced by Rob (and maybe Rob-D earplugs too so all you can hear is Rob talking). There’s a huge market – probably 50% of the BD viewers (at least) will be women only there to see Rob and don’t even care about the rest of the film. Maybe you can order a whole package. Rob-D glasses, an airline bottle of Stoli, maybe even a MotU-themed Rifftrax recording. I’d pay the extra $20 for this, or extra $50 if it worked with all other movies.
They’re getting closer to that idea! I did enjoy the Edward Fast Forward feature, I mean those are my favorite parts!!
Side note, I heard that the birth scene was gonna be from Bella’s POV. Could they please do the honeymoon that way as well? (no pirate patches needed)

Cameron should collaborate with CathyCougar on it, actually, because she really knows how to put Rob in a scene. Cameron can make him bigger than life and Cougar can swivel the camera angle so it always looks like Rob wants to “try one thing” with the viewer.

As long as he’s either playing piano or guitar it will be worth the insanity that BD is sure to be. I still can’t fathom seeing the craziness of the vamp c-section (or the baby imprinting for that matter) on the big screen.

Finally – a reason to be excited for BD 2. (BD 1 at least has should have partially naked Rob and feathers.) Rob as Daddyward playing the piano = me getting light headed in the theater and keeling over in my seat. If, by any chance I should ever hear that he’ll be singing as well, I may as well wear a burial gown to the theater as I will surely die a most pleasant death. Death by Robward’s fingerporn/pianoplaying porn and incrediblesingingvoice porn: Can’t think of a better way to go.
Oh, and in answer to your question, Moon, aside from Never Think (renders me speechless every time I hear it) and Let Me Sign (so sexy and gut wrenching), my other favorite song is I Was Broken. I love how he just loses himself in that song. (sigh…..singing Rob leaves me so weak at the knees…..)

That non-battle was really a letdown in the book. I’m hoping we’ll at least get some good CGI effects with Bella and her bubble. And they BETTER do the very very ending right – where Bella show’s Edward all her thoughts. The only other scenes I’m looking forward to in BD 2 are #1 – when Charlie finds out about all this nonsense – that should be a hoot, and mostly #2 – when Edward falls apart and begs Jacob to let Bella have his puppies. An angsty and tortured Rob should definitely be swoon-worthy. AND NOW WE HAVE PIANOPORN!!! YEAY!!!

Professional disease to read cross-wise, esp.cause it was getting worse and worse, really stupid storyline,every page a new weird twist,so many words for saying nothing, things left out and in the end…THE CLIMAX…THE ONE AND ONLY BATTLE…oh wait….blop, no battle,the end, bye bye…wtf…worse literature with NO end…since that, I can’t find the book anymore, bet I threw it in the dumpster!

I read all the books quickly too & I’ve read Twilight numerous times – my fav. I’ve read BD twice, but really struggled the second time – the Imprinting Plot is very bizarre & to mix kids into it, creeps me out. *gags*
I can’t help it, the teenage girl that was awakend in me by the Twilight books loved a lot of BD. She did hate a lot of it though. For example, 5 to 10 minutes on the variety of vampires invited to the non-battle will be more than enough for me, although I’m sure the makeup/costume people are in heaven over it. I love distraught, tortured Edward (again, hello there teenaged me). I think Rob has that part of the character in him that will break hearts. I do agree that Bella’s mind is no encylopedia brittanica. I just don’t want to see a cheesy recap of 4 books for that final scene..I want them to get creative with it.

Infuriated and insulted the voulturi attack again, but this time they just go after Nessie, everything gets nut for awhile as they all fight to defend Nessie, while nessie takes on the baddest of the bad and wins! when the dust settles, the lone Voulturri city member who hasn’t been killed or ran away is Jane who is huddled in a ball trembling in fear because nessie has turned all the pain Jane has inflicted on others, back onto Jane herself. Then Grandpa Carlisle walks upto Nessie hoolds out his arms to her and she floats down into his arms. *Gather the whole Cullen clan around the two* NEssie Reaches for her daddy and Carlisle approaches Jane, kneels down beside her and says, “Unlike the Voulturri We do give second chances. Learn from this and don’t waste it. It will be your last.” *** Better than the battle that wasn’t at least.

I loved the Twilight score and wondered how they would handle Edward welcoming Bella home. Glad to see Rob will be playing again. My very favourite part of Twilight is the piano scene. I just hope BD is done properly with all the right bts included and all the trash left out. Shame Jacob couldn’t be put out for good like the dog he is. lol

I think they’re both from the same promo trip to Rome. Although I’m kinda finally getting hot and bothered by his new shorter hair look – more grown up, I think – something about that Rome trip makes me ….well….go a little insane. I’m so glad to hear someone else does this too! I think I’m going to be glad (maybe?) when when these channels stop showing them, I mean I do have the DVD’s and now have them DVR’d! But it never fails, when I get home from work-I check the listings to see if they’re on (in which most cases at least 1 is). If they’re not on, I can usually find “How to Be”, which is a little harder to watch-Rob is so “adorkable” in this, but you can still see his beauty (huh?) shining through. And yes, I also have “How to Be” DVR’d.
The first time I watched How to Be I had to run and watch Twi after. I was in need of the eyecandy! But, after that I was able to enjoy the movie for what it is and can watch bits of it over and over.
It’s on my DVR too but I’m gonna lose it next week when we switch cable providers!! What am I going to do?!?!

I loved Carter Burwell’s score for Twilight and Bella’s Lullaby actually inspired me to learn piano – finally, so I am super happy that he’s back for BD, it also means that we will get the ‘welcome home’ scene (which I think is a lovely bit of connection during that time in the book and has huge potential onscreen) I really hope that Renesmee’s Lullaby lives up to expectations though…aaannnd yes I suppose a little more pianoporn isn’t a bad thing either…
OMG. Don’t have time to read all the posts. Hate it when work interferes with my LTR and LTT life. I will have to savor this at home. But let me say that I agree that I did not care too much for Carters music in Twilight. After awhile- 35-50 viewings- I got used to it- but Bella’s lullaby? No and no and no. I’ve said it before- no one could hum that – not even glorious Robward. And I’m sure he could hum almost anything!
