Adios, Sayonara, Aloha, Love, Peace Out (for now) Roberto

Dear Rob,

We saw this on Saturday –

and rethought everything.

Letters to JGL forever. And ever.

Peace out Rob.

Stop trying to make us sad!

I mean we could totally go for a Rob/Magic Mike/SNL moment but that’s probably not going to happen till you’ve had your Shadowboxer/Brick/500 Days of Summer/Dark Knight phase and are ready to bare all. And shower regularly. Don’t get us wrong, that’s one of the things we love about you. You simultaneously give a fuck and yet don’t give a fuck and you look much better doing it than some other people we know. You’re effortlessly cool and effortlessly interesting and effortlessly easy on the eyes and effortlessly lovely and once upon a time effortlessly easy to write about. But ya know what isn’t so effortless anymore? Writing a letter to you everyday. This isn’t an “it’s not you, it’s me” conversation cause let’s be honest, it’s kinda both of us. You’ve been kinda in hiding and we’ve been kinda busy. You’ve been kind of preoccupied and we’ve been kind of doing our own thing. It’s like that point in the relationship where the texts and dates and calls are coming fewer and farther in between because there just isn’t much to say anymore. Now, there’s definitely booty calls still involved but we’ve become different people and want different things and our old hangouts with bags of Cheetos and dates to your friends concerts and wallowing in your dirty laundry just isn’t cutting it anymore. If we took this relationship metaphor one step further we would hug and agree and probably hang out again in like 2 weeks at a gross bar but we write this to say we’re going to be focusing on LTT and our new blog That’s Normal.

We’ll always love you!

So between those, our lives and not wanting to die at work we have to bid a fond farewell to LTR for now. This doesn’t mean goodbye forever. Remember what I said about hanging out at the bar and texting. We’ll be back as necessary and we’re still pounding away at LTT and will be ramping up That’s Normal to full capacity SOON.

Rob, I think we should end this with a three way slow dance (is this possible?) to Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” and think about ALL the good times.

then as a thank you to our awesome audience us three will perform this:

See you soon!
Moon and UC

To our faithful, awesome, funny readers –

Seriously, it’s not the end just farewell to LTR for a bit. Go to our other sites and we’ll be there. If something happens and we feel like LTR should have a say we will definitely post. Or, if we get good letters submitted, we will post… but otherwise we’re just going to remember the good times, the really-really-really good times and hilarious letters we’ve posted here at LTR over the years and all the fun we had with Rob & with you all! You are what has made this so rewarding for us. We appreciate all of you!

I just want to say, UC & Moon, thank you so much for dedicating your time and effort into LTR. Its been a wonderful journey! Life sometimes takes over (for you, Rob, and us) and its an end of an era, but I appreciate the fun and friendship I’ve found here. Thank you.

  6. amynkansas says:

If it wasn’t for LTR/LTT I wouldn’t have met all of THE most awesome people in the world. You guys do a bang up job!

    Dearest UC & Moon,

It has been a wonderful ride these past few years. I’ve enjoyed the laughs and will always remember this site fondly! The adventures I’ve had, as a result of peeps like you, has been fabulous! I fully understand wanting to branch out and look forward to following you on “That’s Normal”.

So for now, I’m getting off my bike and storing it in the garage.

    Thanks again,

  8. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Oh wait. See you over at That’s Normal!

every time i saw an email alerting me of a posting from LTR, my coworker Stinking Hippie Lady Who Needs to Bathe More Often, lived another day. i would read your postings and more than often, snortlaughed my way into a better mood.
as Mr. Hope used to say “Thanks for the memories.”
You completed me in serious Taylor Swift hand heart way.
Paper Rob and i will miss you.

    So basically, marriage.

We’ve all married Rob and are at that comfortable place where we don’t need to write letters to him because he already knows what we are thinking. He already knows what we want to do to him, what we want to say to him as we do it, and how to deal when we’re not in the mood. It’s cool.

I will miss LTR. I found it a little late (late 2010). But, I am glad I found it before it was too late. What will happen to all the women who discover their Robsession TODAY? Where will they go for such witty, sarcastic, smutty, mostly mentally balanced banter about Rob? Where will they write insanely romantic and funny letters to him, letters he’ll sadly never read much less ever respond to? There are other sites, but none quite fill the perfectly goofy and hilarious niche that LTR does.

    Dear Rob,

Please answer one of Moon and UC’s letters. It can be any of them. I know this request is in vain, but I just think it would be a fitting end to LTR. It can be brief. Maybe all you want to say is “You are all creepy, but it kind of turns me on.” Something. Anything. Please.

That Creepy Feeling You Get When Someone Creepy is Thinking HARD about You…Yah That’s Me.

    • The Old One says:

You said it. Rob, yes, write the last letter to LTR!!! I’ll be sad if you don’t. Well, I’ll be sad anyway. Going to go put Twilight on and cry on the sofa now.

      • natteringyeahrobber says:

What was it that quote from Eclipse (or that Frost guy, whatever).

Some say that LTR will end in fire,
        Some say in Rob-oblivious-to-LTR ice.
From what I’ve tasted of Rob desire
I hold with those who favor fire

Do we have to beg you Rob? I will. I will beg on my hands and well-padded knees. I can make french fries. Not oven fries, not potato wedges (GROSS), not steak fries. Steak fries are such a disappointment. You order fries, you should get fries, not undercooked thick cut rectangles. Rob, if you answer a f’ing letter, fries are on me. Moon and UC have worked so hard for so long. Give them fire. Or at least a freaking metaphorical yule log they can talk about when they are 95 and can’t even remember the name of the blog they created together.

It’s the end of an era:( LTR was the first place I dared to come and out myself and my adoration of Rob…and realized there were lots of women like myself who were strangely drawn to this oddly endearing Brit . I’d never crushed on someone who claimed to never wash his hair. But the ladies at LTR assured me it (among other things) was NORMAL. I have so many great memories of hilarious posts and have met so many amazing, funny women here- I can’t believe it’s been almost four years. I hope to see the occasional LTR post pop up in my email….sniff

  12. MariaCecilia says:

Okay, I am sobbing, screaming no, and – carefully – tearing at my hair here! So, what am I going to do now: after I told you “You are my life now”, you just up and walk away like, saying “You’re not good for me”?? Hey! Remember how well that turned out last time??

I may or may not go to those other blogs…or maybe I’ll befriend some cute Quileute blog instead. Hah!

Seriously, though: thanks for saving my life a lot of times in the past. *wipes eyes* I’m still waiting for you to publish your best work in a book. I’d buy it! Heck, millions of people who bought 50 Shades probably would! I’ll stalk you on the Internet forever….muahaha

    • The Old One says:

Seriously, UC and Moon, do it!!

      • natteringyeahrobber says:

Needs to happen. I’ll buy. And by buy I don’t mean “I’ll scour the interwebs for a free PDF and then when I don’t find one I’ll ask all my Twitter followers for a copy and then when they don’t have one I’ll just pretend I read it when it comes up in conversation.”

I’ll buy it. With money and stuff. I will love LTR every day of forever and that means no copyright violating behavior.

        • natteringyeahrobber says:

p.s. libraries have books for free. So I encourage people to check out shit at their local library versus illegally downloading shit. It’s good for libraries, good for authors, just good good good. You can thumbs down me. I don’t think it would be a proper LTR post without getting a thumbs down.

  13. Nelle says:

Aw ladies. This is a sadness. My life has had some serious upheavals in the past few months and this is yet another one. But inevitable I know. Thanks for all the fun times. I will have to catch you over at That’s Normal. Haven’t visited there yet.

  14. stupidshiny says:

    Fangs for the memories, ladies!
    You so totally rock xx

  15. LornaLopez says:

    Oh … wow … I’m stunned …

  16. Neesie says:

Woah. Does everything good end? Yeth, I do believe so. Thanx for the mammaries, uh, memories. Seriously, I love me some moobs. And other stuff that goes with. Especially if it’s attached to the Pretty. See, still obsessed. SOME things never change……..

  17. JellyBeanRainbow says:

When I’m almost done writing THE letter of all Letters to Rob you decide to stop publishing them?
    Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu( that’s me crying)

It was fun, I’ll miss you.
    Love, Me

  18. kat says:

It’s been real ladies! Thanks Rob (if your reading) for doing stuff to make us laugh!

  19. Maggie says:

Thanks for all the laughs ladies. This was always my favorite Robsite. LdMAO so many times over the snarky but Rob-loving stuff that went on here. Plus I met so many fantastic people here who have become RL friends.

All the best to you, Moon and UC. Gonna go cry myself to sleep now…..
