Last week I got a picture text message (on the left) from my Mom and it said this:
Edward took Doris to Lunch at BJ’s. They had mushroom ravioli.
Love, MomWHAT?! So now you’re skipping out on me on our sacred day? Sunday is the day WE go out and take pictures. Hrrrrummmmpphh.
Ok, ok… as much as I wanna be mad it’s actually quite endearing. You know how to treat the ladies, my dear. Me, the young, the uh not so young… all of us and we love you for it. Your charms are NOT lost on grandmas! Just like my mom says ALL ladies love Edward.

Hubby and crew knocked out most of the moving yesterday. They were moving so fast, I felt useless, so I stayed at the new place and started unpacking. Got it all finished this morning. So glad it’s over and I can get back to Rob stalking full time! 😉

@Jean – I’m with JAG on this one. I haven’t been that blown away by too many of these, but this one is super sweet and the editing is perfect. It captures just the right moments of pure sugar. I don’t even mind having KStew in it – actually reminds me of the first days with the Twilight book when Bella didn’t annoy me.

@IfOnly: I really try to stay clean with the bitchy comments because you never know when one of us lucky ladies might get a photo with him – don’t want to be fodder for the rest of the world’s criticism (having said that, I will NEVER post anything like that, NEVER!) Still, those ones got to me. The drunken ones with him all over his costar “Jessica” bothered me a bit, but I managed to push that away as some fun drunken craziness with friends. Maybe just a bit jealous (of Jessica, not the skanks – NEVER).
On Ashes, yes, I think these are just Premieres, but I signed up on the Little Ashes email list, so hopefully will actually get notified. I think I’m just gonna start checking out that official blog too. I read it today and it has some good stuff on it.
I didn’t see anything on the posts yesterday but I may have missed it , if so sorry but…did anyone elset think that Kstew seem a little hopped up on something on Jimmy Kimmel Friday? She was rocking back and forth seemed kinda, I don’t know out of it?…..hummm
I should start by saying typically, I’m not the biggest KStew fan, but honestly she just seemed nervous. I know what you’re thinking, she’s an actress, but when she’s acting she gets to be someone else. It’s probably harder when you have to put yourself out there.
I am NO fan of hers so she gets no slack from me but she seems like such a cold fish with no personality
I haven’t seen as much of her work as Rob’s but is seems as though she doesn’t really act the part. She’s always the same character. Rob is so different with this roles. You may see a glimpse of a character overlapping sometimes, but overall he’s phenomenal. She’s the same on screen as she is in real life. Her mannerisms, facial expressions, ect. I agree – there is a lack of personality there.

I agree she seems nervous but she normally does on the talk shows. I think she is so scared that a question will come at her that she can’t answer correctly. And she is pretty young to be thrown into what she is thrown into – I will cut her slack for that. However, young or not, she needs to do something better with her hair.
I didn’t see the interview, but I’m never impressed with her. Having said that, she is super young and probably horribly nervous, so I’m trying to really cut her some slack.

@Felicia – Yep, I’m definitely going to be there Tuesday. I know that they will be the first ones to put it out, so I’m really counting on them. Also, the KStew interview on Jimmy Kimmel – she was worse on Letterman last year. I thought, compared to Letterman, she did quite well. Jimmy tried to help her through the whole thing by cracking the jokes and what not which I think made it easier on her. It wasn’t worth staying up late for, but I don’t regret it either lol

Was just watching the video Jena linked earlier (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itZytY6Paik) and it made me realize – The one part in the movie where I really have to commend Kristen on her performance as Bella is the part where she’s ‘washing’ the truck and Edward is there. I think she really embodied who Bella is supposed to be in that scene. I wish she could have done that through the whole movie…

I can agree with that. When we watched it last night there was a scene (and I can’t remember it now, know I’ll remember it when I see it again) where she had this facial expression – and I thought the same thing. I even said something to soccermom – like “now that is a good facial expression for Bella”.
Here’s a question for you- Do you think she did a ‘poor’ job because of her acting or because of the dialogue that was written for her? Because I was like ‘where’s the dialogue’? We got a really good sense of Edward (Rob was excellent!!!!) but where was the Bella from the books? I like Bella’s character (from the books)& was a mite disappointed in her portrayal of Bella. Just sayin’
I only think that Kristen did a poor job of bringing the character to life and transferring book Bella into movie Bella. Maybe it was the dialogue she was given, but at some point – if you feel strongly about something – you stand up for it and fight for what you think it should be. I don’t think Kristen fought hard enough for her character. I also think Catherine could have done a better job of giving her direction.

I’m reserving judgment until New Moon to see if it was just the dialogue (or lack thereof) that made her seem one dimensional or simply the way she portrayed Bella.
The only scene I really, really hated with her was when she went to EC’s for the first time. “It’s so light… so open, you know?” The way she said it made me want to jump through the screen and kick her. It just sounded trite and monotonous for some reason. But otherwise, she didn’t really have enough dialogue for me to love or hate her as Bella either way.
I hate to put it in writing – but I think it was poor acting. Even the way she said some of her lines. The part of the sentence that she would emphasized – not how I would have seen Bella saying it. Not enough admiration toward Edward either. I mean her heart is supposed to go nuts and her face turn red everytime he looks her way.

I might get kicked out of LTR for this (and if I do, my time here was great) but…I loved the movie. I didn’t even consider her acting was bad until I heard and read everyone talking about it, and even then, there wasn’t a time where i could really pick out a point where i hated it. I just loved the books so much that i was grateful there was a movie and then came Robert and the rest is history…
I saw movie before reading books. I liked movie so much I went straight to bookstore. Once I read books, I felt myself picturing Rob in my head as Edward, but I didn’t picture Kristen as Bella(I actually kept telling soccermom that as I read them). I thought that was weird because that is how I first saw Bella. But also, I don’t even know if I knew she was in the movie the first 5 times I saw it….there are other people besides Rob in the movie? Really? Let me watch it again and see. Nope, just Rob.
Haha! IfOnly- Me exact opposite- read books first (LOVED THEM) and went to see movie. LOVED the movie too only I always get disappointed when the movie doesn’t follow the book the way I want it to. (Had the same thing with a few HP movies/books) But Rob (he totally blew me away in Twilight)! Life altering! ‘Nope, just Rob’ Indeed!

I honestly thought that too (about being grateful there was a movie) but after seeing it a few times, it became more obvious to me that she was almost ‘struggling’ to play Bella. I don’t know. I really do like Kristen and I give her the benefit of the doubt, but sometime I just HAVE to let loose on her. I understand she’s really young and has been thrown into this crazyness that is the “Twilight Phenomenon” but she could definitely stand to take a few pointers from Rob on how to handle it better… and maybe how to act better too… just sayin’ lol

I’ve read all comments and I just have to say that I loved the whole I-want-to-keep-his-holey-vodka-tshirt-as-a-trophy-and-sleep-in-it. I thought I was the only chick who keeps the dude’s ratty old t for future jammies. (But only if he was special or really good at horizontal extracurricular activities)
Anyway, had a funny moment tonight. I’m the director for a children’s drama program and at the last practice they decided to say their lines with a British accent. I did NOT suggest this. They did it on their own and one kid was REALLY good. I just said to myself – “Self, Rob would be proud.” I can now say that I relate all aspects of my life back to our leader, His Holy Wetness.
